Embarking

I am one day out from an unknown journey that will surely be filled with memories that will last a lifetime. In the midst of it all I find it bitter sweet. Leaving behind so many friends and family members, thinking of what I will miss out on, but the feeling of excitement and wonder is so much more consuming.

Studying abroad has always been on my bucket list, #29 to be exact, but the idea always seemed out of reach. Life would always get in the way -finances, timing, obligations. This taught me that timing is never perfect. Life will always get in the way of our dreams and desires. Intentionally making perfect timing and making sacrifices for what we believe is worth it is the crucial component.

So here I am, anticipating, waiting for Friday afternoon to come. Alba and I will be flying out of LAX and there will certainly be tears on tears. Our wonderful families are coming to say their farewells. I know I can speak for both Alba and I when saying this – we are both so blessed with parents that support us in our dreams and are allowing this all to be possible. Love you all to pieces.
